Who Are We?
Hello, my name is Dan Hostetler, or as I tell folks: I’m Brother Dan, who drives the van, and gets the kids to church as safe as I can!
Why Do We Do It?
I gave my heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ when I was nine years young, and I was so thankful He saved me. I thought it only right that I should help others to hear about the Lord and how He loves them, too. Therefore, I have been—in whatever fashion I could—inviting and transporting kids and adults to a good Bible-believing church so they could have the same relationship with Jesus as I have.
How Long Are We Going To Do It?
My wife, Ms. Amanda, and I have been serving in this capacity at Lupton Drive Baptist Church since 1996, and we will continue to do so as long as God gives us physical strength to do so.
What’s In It For You?
Well, I’m glad you asked! We’re not operating this ministry to steal people away from their [other churches], but to provide transportation to our place of worship if they do not have a home church or do not have means to attend a church. We operate two 16 passenger vans every Wednesday afternoon to bring children to our King’s Kids Program, adults to our midweek prayer and Bible study service, as well as provide a way to Sunday morning and evening services for children and adults.
How Do We Do It?
We have two very dedicated teams who drive the vans. Our goals are:
- Safe transportation and adherence to good rules-of-the-road procedures
- Attentiveness to passenger safety
- Promotion of God-centered values
- Focusing on individual passenger accountability and safety
What Is Our Service Area?
We are located at 859 Lupton Drive in Hixson; therefore, our local area is the Hixson and Red Bank areas.
How Can You Get Plugged In?
The first thing you need to do is give me a call so I can get some information to see how you can be worked into one of our routes. You may call or text me at: 423-774-3296 or email me at: Preacherdan1978@gmail.com. Either way, you will get a prompt reply.
In Conclusion…
Give us a holler and let’s see if we can work a ride out. Our church is a place of old-fashioned worship that’s been there since the mid-1940s. Pray and ask God what He would have you do. We’re here to serve God by serving you.
